Bofors Scam reminded us again the 'corruption' issue

Hemanta Kumar Pradhan

Democratic country like India is committed to provide basic needs in a qualitative way with proper security, but in the name of security to the nation elite political leaders looted the country, as the real truth of Bofors scam revealed by ITAT. It again fired the young Indian blood, those are witnessed mega scams, scandals and rampant corruptions in 2G spectrum allocation issue,CWG ,Adarsh housing scam, and others.

I got astonished after reading the fact that the then President Zail Singh was petitioned for permission to prosecute Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi in Bofors Scam.what a horrible thing ! those are the Lawmakers, protectors of the law and representative to the nation, first -they are exploiting the nation and it's common people. These corrupted leaders are always thinking about their parties self, never think about common people, those are not getting proper food and shelter. Still Murshidabad, Bankura region of West Bengal, KBK districts of Odisha,Telengana region of Andhra Pradesh,Vidarbha of Maharashtra, Bihar, Uttarpradesh, and other parts of India meets drought every year. Just see them what type of life they are living, think a while for them at-least.

Inter-political unrest and its solution always made them busy, they have no time to think about aamadmi, though they are representative of common people. To hide the faults of colleagues they can give permission to Quattrochi, Anderson like accused person to leave the country before Investigation.

It's the right time to think about this matter, otherwise we have to agree with the veteran journalist Rajinder Puri as he says,"today India is reeling from body blows inflicted by a corrupt elite exploiting inadequate governance resulting from a flawed political system created by a misinterpreted written constitution. If India does not seek early and basic reform, democracy could perish".
