Youth dies in city in suspicious state


BHUBANESWAR: In a suspicious state, a youth died in the city on Friday. He was identified as Barik Reddy from Laxminagar of Salia Sahi slum under Nayapalli police station in the city. Investigation into the matter is on.

Reddy was living with his family in his Laxminagar home. Few days ago, he had bit argument with his wife; as a result his upset wife went to her father’s house. Reddy had decided to go to his father-in-law’s house to bring his wife back to home. He went there, but returned with severe illness.

On Friday, some people of Reddy’s father-in-law’s family left him at his Laxminagar home in the State of severe illness. Family members of Reddy then immediately admitted him in the Capital hospital, but he was declared dead.

Reddy’s family members alleged that he was severely beaten up by the people of his father-in-law’s house, whereas wife of Reddy has denied the allegation made by Reddy’s family. The police informed that Reddy has no injury mark on his body. “After the postmortem report, the truth will come out, whether he was murdered or not,” said Nayapalli police station IIC Anup Kumar Kanungo.
