Bachansudha murder case: Psychoanalysis test report to come today

BHUBANESWAR: Report of psychoanalysis test on security guard Dipti Ranjan Patnaik, who allegedly killed businesswoman Bachansudha Pattanayak on September 11 at Rasulgarh here, will be submitted before the Commissionerate Police on Tuesday, said Twin City Commissioner of Police Dr RP Sharma.

“After getting report from the expert, we will take further steps to bring out more substantial data in the case,” said Dr Sharma.

Notably, the police on September 19 conducted a psychoanalysis test on security guard by Dr Asha Shrivastav, a clinical psychologist of the Central Forensic Science Laboratory in New Delhi, to examine the mental status of the accused.

During the marathon interrogation held at the Commissionerate police headquarters, the security guard was asked crime-related questions in order to find possible involvement of more persons in the murder. He was quizzed by the expert in an isolated room. The interrogation process took around seven hours starting from 9 am.

Meanwhile, Dipti was produced before the SDJM court here after his five-day remand ended on Sunday. He was sent to the Jharpada jail again on Monday.
