BHUBANESWAR: “Youth of today’s generation should follow
Swami Vivekananda’s principle of equality and fraternity,” said the speakers
attending Vivekananda Jayanti observed by Utkal Bikasha Juba Parishad here on
Sunday.
Youth and students garlanded and paid floral greetings to Swamijee at Vivekananda
statue near Kalinga stadium here in the morning. Parishad president Debiprasad
Prusti presided over the meeting.
Advocate Atma Prakash Mohanty and Parishad’s coordinator Tanuja Mohanty
appealed the students and youth to carry out the mantle of Swami Vivekananda to
build a strong India. The team of volunteers distributed sweets among orphan students staying
at the Satya Sai Ashram in Khandagiri area.
Among others, Lok Shakti Abhiyan president Prafulla Samantara, Justice
Uma Charan Mishra, Ambaris Banchhor, Janaki Mallik, Swayamprava Sahu and
members of the Parishad coordinated the program.
