Looted ATM cash box recovered

Berhampur: Looted ATM counter near Ankuli area in Silk City recovered by the police on Saturday night from a roadside farm land. Burglars failed to break the ATM cash box.
After getting information, city police officials include SDPO Sarat Chandra Mahapatra, Baidyanath Pur Inspector-In-Charge Deepak Mishra along with Berhampur SP Safeen Ahmed K reached on the spot, where the ATM cash box found. It was thrown away in the roadside bush.
 It was suspected that the burglars after failing to break the box left that in a farm land near the road side of Ankuli-Gaunju road.
It was a shocking incident that some burglars looted the ATM counter which was newly opened last month. They had looted the cash box containing of Rs 14 lakh by breaking the ATM Machine.
According to the police, while the miscreants were breaking the ATM counter, the CCTV camera which was fixed in the counter was not working properly. Due to this reason the incident could not be recorded. Taking the opportunity, burglars had taken the total ATM machine box from the counter.
Still now police have not arrested any in connection with the case. The investigation is going on. The ATM cash box is sealed by the police.
