BHUBANESWAR: Proposal for the implementation of speed governor in Auto rickshaw by the Department of Transportation, strongly opposed by different associations of Auto rickshaw drivers in the city.
The associations of Auto rickshaws will go for a strike throughout the state by December 5, if Government denies to rollback the decision.
While State Transportation Department decided to implement the rule for using of Speed Governors in the Auto rickshaw by December 3, which will govern the speed of the vehicle and it will check the accidents.
Auto drivers’ association is not satisfied with the decision and it questioned that without their knowledge, the Transportation Department has taken the decision.
