BHUBANESWAR: On the occasion of Akshay Tritiya on May 2, the BJP Krushak Morcha
(BKM) would felicitate 500 farmers from different parts of the State for their excellent
contributions to the field of agriculture. It was announced by BKM State
president Maheswar Sahu here on Friday.
After kick-starting Akshi Muthi
festival of farmers, Sahu said, they would organise a Yajna in the memory of the farmers who committed suicide. The
Morcha workers would sensitise the farmers of its 37 organisational districts
in the State about farmer suicide and distress sale of paddy and the State
Government’s failure to develop the agriculture sector, particularly in supplying
seeds and fertilisers to the farmers in time.
