BHUBANESWAR:
The Carriage Repair Workshop at Mancheswar in the city added another feather to
its cap when it was awarded ISO 14001:2004 for Environmental Management System
and OHSAS 18001:2007 certification for Occupational Health and Safety on March
21 this year.
Earlier, the workshop was awarded
ISO 9001:2008 certification for Quality Management System in August 2013. East
Coast Railway (ECoR) General Manager Rajiv Vishnoi received the certificates on
behalf of the ECoR and Mancheswar Workshop. Chief Mechanical Engineer Prem
Chandra and Chief Workshop Manager SK Pankaj were also present on the occasion.
While lauding the performance of
Mancheswar Workshop during 2003-14, Vishnoi congratulated the staff who strived
hard and obtained all the three ISO certifications in a short span of time
which is a very unique feat. The ECoR has decaled a group award for the entire
team of the workshop, officials sources said.
