Brahma Kumaris ‘Future of Power’ convention held in city


BHUBANESWAR: It was a great spiritual evening with eminent speakers throughout the world with more than a thousand of city audience at the convention hall of hotel May fair here on Saturday to listen the dialogue. The organisers took special interest to launch here its eighth convention of ‘The Future of Power’, an initiative by the Brahma Kumaris of World Spirituality University after seven successful conventions in the country.

There was two dialogue sessions. One was based on spiritual feelings what they experienced in life. Chief Executive of SWABHIMAN Dr Sruti Mahapatra, Information Commission of Odisha Shri Jagadananda, founder of the People Bridge Charitable Foundation Betty Steinhauer of Canada, English author and journalist Neville Hodgkinson participated in the dialogue. They all talked about the role of spirituality, which offers human values, in shaping of character and personality of an individual as well as society.

The second session was a brainstorming session with Gajapati Maharaj Divyasingh Dev, initiator and host of ‘The Future of Power’ project and an overseas industrialist of Kenya Nizar Juma, chief organiser of Brahma Kumaris institution brother Brizmohan and Sub-Zonal head of Brahma Kumaris Leena Bhen.

Gracing the occasion, Gajapati Maharaj said about novelty of power in India from the ancient times. He agreed that India is going to be a power house of future, but people of the nation should exercise it in a responsible way with confidence. “Our culture and conscience is very unique and ideal in the world, our thought is pure and eternal which never dies. So be ready to get the power,” Maharaj said.

 “The purpose is to make the people of India aware that they are going to be very powerful in the future as they were in the past. However, in order to take full advantage of this power, they need to be responsible as to the way in which they handle power, because responsibility means they have to bring spirituality back into their lives,” said Zuma, the patroniser of ‘The Future of Power’ convention.
