BHUBANESWAR: The contractual nurses of the State will take mass leave protesting the Government’s apathy and to make the movement stronger than before they will start agitation again from March 27, said the All Odisha Contractual Nurses Association in a press release on Tuesday.
The nurses had staged demonstration recently demanding permanent of the job, hike in salary, filling up of vacancy and other demands. Again the nurses decided to start agitation against the State Government from March 27 by taking mass leave and stage indefinite dharna till their demand is fulfilled.
They also decided to gherao the State Assembly and Health Minister’s residence to press the Government for fulfilling of their demand. Kranti Odisha president Gangadhar Panigrahy, who is taking the lead of the nurses, and General Secretary of the Association Jayanti Sahu said they will prefer do or die movement if the Government will not agree with us.
