Girls outshine boys in CBSE Class XII exams



BHUBANESWAR: Around 86.25 per cent of the students in the Bhubaneswar zone, who appeared the CBSE Class XII exams 1014, have come out with success. The results were declared on Wednesday.

Girls have outshone boys in the exams. While 89.92 per cent of the girls have cleared the exams, the boys pass percentage stands at 83.44. Total 16,383 out of 18,725 girl students have passed the test, CBSE sources said. 

In Bhubaneswar Zone, a total of 42,500 students had appeared the examinations of which 10,500 are from Odisha, 14,000 from Chhattisgarh and 18,000 from West Bengal.

The Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas together have recorded a 98.58 per cent result, the best performance in the Bhubaneswar region, while the Kendriya Vidayalayas’ pass percentage stood at 96.07 per cent. Around 85.48 per cent students of private or independent schools have cleared the exams.
