Over 67,000 students appear DET

BHUBANESWAR: Over 67,000 (80 per cent) students out of more than 84, 000 appeared for the Diploma Entrance Test (DET) 2014 which was held on Sunday at 159 centres in the State and seven centres in different cities of the country.

Though the actual data of students, who appeared the DET, is yet to come up, the top officials said that over 80 per cent students have appeared the exam for 41,000 seats in 30 Government colleges and 100 private colleges in the State. 

According to the officials, 62, 864 students had applied for Engineering and Technology, 21,120 students applied in lateral entry and 846 for non-engineering courses. 

Though the date of the publication of the result is not finalised, official sources said, the result might be published in the end of the May or first week of the June.
