CESU advises filed electricians to obey safety rules

BHUBANESWAR: Safety department of the Central Electricity Supply Utility of Orissa (CESU) in a meeting organised here on Wednesday advised its field electrical employees to obey electrical safety rules during their work for customers’ service and for maintenance work.   

Addressing the field employees, CESU’s safety head Nilambar Jena instructed them to always use safety materials and follow the safety guidelines to avoid electrical accidents. The employees should not be over confidence and careless while working in danger zone, he added.

The officers advised the workers to do the breakdown and maintenance work with more than one employee and should not be fickle during the work. Field employees should avoid use of mobile phones during maintenance work, they said.

Among others, CESU PRO Golak Sahu, Safety officer PK Swain and divisional head PK Lenka were present along with their SDO, JEs and about 50 field workers coming from Rasulgarh, Phulanakhara, Dhauli, Old Town, Laxmisagar and Kalpana area of the city.
