Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda forms new party

BHUBANESWAR: With the help of likeminded revolutionaries, Maoist leader Sabyasachi Panda alias Sunil has announced to float a new outfit to give a fresh touch to their fight against fascist force of the State. It was informed by Panda recently to the media through a Press statement.

The statement said that Panda has formed Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist-Maoist) to bring all the revolutionaries to a common platform.

Notably, Panda had openly protested CPI (Maoist) general secretary Mupala Laxman Rao alias Ganapathy over Central Committee’s annihilation theory. As a result of which he was expelled by the party in August 2012 for allegedly embezzling fund and protesting central leaders of the party.

Dejected by the Central Committee of the CPI (Maoist), the Maoist leader had formed his own outfit Odisha Maovadi Party (OMP) to continue his work in Odisha jungle. But after a few months, he faced threat from both security forces and other Maoist leaders operating in the State.

According to sources, Panda might have floated the outfit to strengthen his base in Ganjam, Kandhamal, Gajapati and Rayagada district to create a safe zone for their hideout at the time of anti-Maoist operations. Now the new outfit would create a congenial atmosphere for new recruits so that they could win the faith of tribals.

Meanwhile, Subhashree alias Mili Panda, wife of Sabyasachi has feigned ignorance about such a development of her husband. “I don’t have any information regarding this development,” she added.
