BHUBANESWAR:
The Commissionerate Police arrested three persons in connection with the Namita
Padhi firing case on Friday. Police also revealed that money dispute was the
reason behind the firing. Four are absconding, sources said.
Mancheswar police nabbed three
culprits Akash alias Biswanath Pradhan, Kuni alias Rajendra Kumar Samal and
Jitu alias Jitendra Patra after conducting several raids in the city. The
police seized Rs 30,000 as cash, one motor vehicle and a Bolero car from their
possession.
“The arrested persons targeted
Namita during last three months. They had planned before to create harm to her.
Money dispute was the reason behind the firing,” said DCP Nitinjeet Singh.
It may be noted that on Friday,
some unidentified miscreants fired at Namita Rani Padhi at Mancheswar.
