BHUBANESWAR: After six days of firing at Namita Padhi at Mancheswar, again an incident happened in the city on Wednesday. One youth Deepak Kumar Pradhan of Panchupalli village under Airfield police station sustained injury when some unidentified miscreants fired at him near his village.
On the day of the incident,
miscreants came in a bike and fired three round bullet at Deepak. He was
suddenly rushed to a private hospital. After operation, doctors recovered a
bullet from Deepak’s body.
Day before the incident, Deepak
had an argument on offering cigarette near a betel shop. The very next day some
unidentified miscreants came and fired at him. Though the particular reason is
yet to be traced out, the police are investigating into the matter. Police is
detaining some persons regarding the case.
It may be noted that on April 13,
some unidentified miscreants fired at Namita Rani Padhi at Mancheswar. The
Commissionerate Police yet to arrest the culprits involved in the case as six
days already passed. One lakh was given as contract to shoot Namita, sources
said.
