Asking ‘bribe’ costs traffic ASI, constable dear

BHUBANESWAR: Commissionerate Traffic ASI Subhendu Sahu and Constable Ashok Sethy were suspended on Monday for asking ‘bribe’ from the aides of MLA Pratap Sarangi while coming by a motorcycle to their city office.

The action has been taken after the MLA complained against the traffic personnel for not giving receipt of the money taken by them. Following the allegation, Deputy Commissioner of Police Nitinjit Singh suspended the ASI and Constable for committing the mistake.

“After the allegation, the two were suspended by DCP from their job. Further action will be taken after inquiry,” said Traffic ACP Binod Das.
