Guv, Odisha BJP condole Gopinath Munde’s death



BHUBANESWAR/ROURKELA: Governor SC Jamir on Tuesday deeply condoled the untimely and unfortunate death of Union Rural Development Minister Gopinath Munde in a car accident in Delhi in the morning. 

Describing Munde as one of the upright and straight forward people’s leader of Maharashtra, Jamir said he was a real efficient legislator and an able administrator. Munde’s people-centric approach had endeared him to the people, he added.

The State BJP leaders also condoled the death of Munde. Party’s State president KV Singh Deo said he is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of the Minister.

Party’s Odisha prabhari Arun Singh condoling the death of Munde said he was an amiable, soft-spoken and simple leader who loved workers of the party. His death caused a huge void in BJP which can’t be filled, he added. 

The party leaders including Union Minister Jual Oram and Dharmendra Pradhan, Biswabhushan Harichandan, Bijoy Mohapatra and Suresh Pujari also condoled the death of party’s West Bengal leader and former Union Minister Tapan Sikdar on Monday. 

Similarly, party’s Sundargarh and Rourkela unit arranged a condolence meeting to pay homage to the senior leader. Rourkela MLA Dilip Ray, Rourkela BJP unit president Dhiren Senapati and district and block-level party workers were present in the meeting.
