BHUBANESWAR:
Focus Odisha, a 24X7 regional news channel of the Focus TV Group, was formally
launched by Group CEO Niraj Sanan here on Friday in the presence of Group
Editor Sanjib Srivastav and other officials.
Sanan and Srivastav dedicated the news
channel to the people of the State and said it would redefine the news
broadcasting and play a major role in evolution of television journalism in the
State. It would cover news across party lines with strong contents including
counter reactions, they added.
Srivastav said Focus Odisha would be the
voice of the voiceless. The channel would try to raise the standards of
journalism with innovative programmes and uncompromising integrity, he claimed.
Besides
Focus Odisha, the Focus TV Group has other channels such as Focus News (Hindi),
Focus Haryana, Focus Bangla, Focus NE and a popular entertainment channel in
the North East- Focus HI FI.
Among
others, Focus Odisha Editor DN Singh, Input Editor Bhakta Tripathy, Current
Affairs Editor Manoranjan Mishra and other staffs were present.
