BHUBANESWAR: Admission process for plus two courses has been started from Saturday. Through online, the students at times can apply for six colleges under the Council of Higher Secondary Education this year. The last date of applying for admission into +2 colleges is July 13.
The e-admission process has been
started for 1280 colleges in the State. The students can apply through online
as there is no provision for applying through offline mode like +3 admission
process. One PIL has been filed at the High Court regarding applying for
admission into +2 courses through offline mode. The online admission process
would continue as the High Court has preserved the order in the issue.
“If the High Court directs us for
offline admission process along with the present e-admission process, then we
will work out on that,” said Higher Education Minister Badri Narayan Patra.
To inform the students about
admission and online process, 410 Student Academic Management System (SAMS)
resource centre across the State. The students have to take admission after publication
of first list of joining in the colleges; otherwise they will be eliminated
from the entire admission process. First merit list will be published on July
26 and admission will be held within July 31 to August 6, official sources
said.
