--Engineering counselling begins
BHUBANESWAR:
After so much dilly-dallying by the officials of Odisha Joint Entrance
Examination (OJEE), finally the counselling for engineering courses has been started
from Monday, but again some engineering aspirants have complained against the
delay in delivery of rank card which is very important for online web
counseling.
On Monday, some engineering
aspirants were waiting to take rank cards from the OJEE head office at
Gandamunda in the city as they did not get that due to delay in delivery. The
rank card is necessary for the aspirants to take part in the web counselling,
otherwise they could not participate in the counselling in the nodal centres. The
aspirants are in quandary about delivery of their rank cards as the final
choice locking would be held on June 29.
On the other hand, OJEE officials
said that they have already dispatched rank cards of the OJEE qualifiers. If
there is a delay in getting the rank cards, the students can contact to the
OJEE office and they can take the duplicate copy of their rank cards, the
officials added.
It may be noted that to register
the names of the aspirants, they have to make choice filling which has been
started from Monday and the final choice locking would be conducted on June 29
in 20 different nodal centres which is created by the OJEE authority within the
State. After that seat allotment results details would come out following the
document verification.
According to the OJEE officials,
counselling for aspirants of pharmacy and lateral entry pharmacy would start
from July 2, while counselling for aspirants of MBA, MCA and PGDM to begin from
July 6, OJEE officials said. For the first time counselling fee for the
Government and the private colleges is same, OJEE officials said.
