BHUBANESWAR: A Doon school is coming up in the city to fill up the need of quality education in the State. The school will follow the models of the Doon schools in Dehradun. Doon International School (DIS) chairman Devender Singh Mann laid foundation stone near the AIIMS in the city on Thursday.
According to Mann, the school has
four acres of land and they have decided to complete the building work by March
2013. After one month of the completion of the building work, first session admission
will be conducted, said DIS chairman Mann. This day and residential school will
give opportunity for joining students from nursery to seventh standard and new
classes will be opened every year, he added.
The school will give emphasis on
quality education; even the faculties from other Doon
schools would come to teach the students here. “Not only class-room teaching
teaching, but also we would emphasise on all round development of the student,”
said Mann.
