BPL survey to end by June 10


BHUBANESWAR: BPL survey and its allied works in the State will end by June 10 this year, said Panchayati Raj Minister Maheswar Mohanty in the Assembly on Tuesday.

Answering the questions asked by BJD MLA Anant Das and Prabhat Ranjan Biswal in the Assembly, Minister Mohanty said the BPL survey work has already been started from November 14 last year in Bolangir, Gajapati, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput, Malkangiri and Rayagada district in the State based on the Socio-Economic and Caste Census-2011, whereas survey work for rest 22 districts has started from March 20.

Mohanty answering another question of Anant Das said they are taking steps to fill up the vacancy posts of 25 block, 54 ABDO, 198 GPEO, 181 PA, 1285 VLW, 18 Assistant Engineer and 182 Junior Engineer posts in Panchayati Raj department.
