JAJPUR: One person was killed and another sustained serious injury when they came in contact with 11 KV live wires at the time of illegal cabling by the operators near Nelibari under Jajpur road on Tuesday. They were identified as Pabitra Kumar Swain (25), a cable operator, of Sribantapur under Kuakhai police station and Bapi Samal (28) of Khapuriapada under Jajpur road police station limit.
The accident was happened on
Tuesday morning when the two were cabling through the 11 KV poles near
Nelibari. Unfortunately, a thin wire came in contact with the 11 KV live wire
and they got severe injury. They were rushed to the local health centre, but
Swain was declared dead and Samal was referred to the SCB
Medical College
and hospital at Cuttack. The
condition of Samal is in stable, doctor sources said.
