CHSE board employees go on strike

BHUBANESWAR: Employees of the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) went on a strike on Tuesday protesting online form fill-up process of the board. The council should not depend on OCAC always to carry out online works as it has the capacity to manage the works with its infrastructure, the council members said.

“We want the council work should be done by the council only. The council should not allow a third person to do its work where its human resources are available,” said employee association president Abhiram Khatua. At first, the notification of the form fill-up should be completed before December, but it has passed its deadline due to depend on the third party, said an employee.

“We don’t have infrastructure in the council for which we have taken the help of OCAC with the direction of the Government,” said CHSE examination controller Yashobanta Behera, adding, “We will finish the work very soon.”
