BHUBANESWAR:
Hundreds of workers with their leaders of several organisations from various
districts of the State on Sunday joined the Pyarimohan Mohaptara-led Odisha Jan
Morcha (OJM) here at its party office. The newly joined leaders and workers
took oath to take the organisational work forward in their areas.
Several workers under the
leadership of Badnara Majhi, a noted tribal activist of Mayurbhanj district and
many people led by BJD youth organiser of Bhubaneswar ward-41 Arjun Jena joined
the Morcha. Leaders like former Talcher
Municipality chairmen Manas
Acharya, Keshab Bhutia and Pradeep Patnaik, Murlidhar Nanda from Kandhamal,
trade union leader Basant Patnaik from Baripada, Premananda Pradhan from Deogarh,
Dhirendra Das from Digapahandi, CPI leader
Madhab Mallick from Nimapada and many others from different places of the State
joined the OJM.
While nearly 200 persons under
the leadership of Sukru Bobbar of Raghunathpalli assembly constituency area in
Sundergarh district joined the OJM, informed OJM spokesperson Amiya Pandab. It
may be noted that on November 25, hundreds of workers with their leaders joined
the Morcha to strengthen the organisational work of the party across the
State.
During the induction ceremony, the
OJM executive body members including Jagyenswar Babu, Mihir Mohanty, Sarat
Mishra and others announced the name of Mohammad Pervez as president of Yuva
Jan Morcha’s Sambalpur unit.
