BHUBANESWAR:
Internationally acclaimed sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik again entered into the Limca
Book of World Records for creating 500 sand sculptures of Santa Claus at Puri
beach on the eve of Christmas. He has already set a world record in 2009 for
creating 100 sand sculptures of Santa Claus.
Patnaik and his students have
created the sculpture at the beach by using 5,000 tonne of sands to mark the
International Sand Art Festival which was inaugurated by the guests of Finland.
The festival would continue till January 1. ‘Go Green, Save Earth’ was the tagline
for the Santa Claus sculpture for this year, said Patnaik.
The magician of sand has created
different types of Santa Claus sculptures at one place which has broken his
three-year’s back world record. Besides the fresh record, he has already
received five world records for creating Santa Claus related sculptures.
Earlier, Patnaik was honored by Limca Book of Records for his contribution in
making India
proud.
