Anna supporters to resume anti-graft movement in State


BHUBANESWAR: Supporting anti-graft crusader Anna Hazaare’s four-day fast at Mumbai, opposing weak Lokpal Bill recently tabled by the Government in the Loksabha, peoples from across the country are organising a massive dharna from December 27. In order to support the movement, Odisha is also ready to launch its four-day fast and ‘Jailbharo’ movement with the overwhelming support from the youth mass informed the members of the India Against Corruption (IAC) of Odisha chapter in a Press meet on Sunday here.

According to the coordinator of IAC Abhisek Joshi, they are going to organise the four-day dharna starting from December 27 to 30 at the Lower PMG and ‘Jailbharo’ movement on December 31 and January 1 supporting Anna’s noble cause against weaker Lokpal Bill and to form Lokayuktas at the State level.

“We will appeal the regional political party leaders and people’s representatives to clear their stand on a strong Lokpal Bill. Apart from that, we also request social organisations for their support for the noble cause to make India corruption free,” said a supporter and one of the organisers of the movement Dr Bhaskar Patnaik.
