Sangram Jena elected Youth Congress president


BHUBANESWAR: In a State-level election for various posts of State Youth Congress (YC), finally Sangram Jena has proved his mettle by winning the YC president post in the election which was conducted here at the Congress Bhavan on Saturday. After Nabarangpur Lok Sabha MP Pradeep Majhi’s resignation from YC president, the post was lie vacant from the month of March this year.

Sangram won the election getting 11,045 votes against Biswabhusan Das’s total 8,158 votes. Sangram defeated his counterpart by 2,887 votes and was declared as the new president of State Youth Congress by All India Youth Congress president here. Apart from that, eight General Secretaries were elected and defeated president candidate Biswabhusan Das declared as Vice-president according to the norm of the election.
