--man murders wife, 2 yr son
BRAHMAPUR: Following a family feud, Kalia Sahu of A Barida village’s Gopalnagar Street under Kavisuryanagar police station limits murdered his wife and a two year son by an axe on the wee hours of Saturday night in his own house.
Kalia Sahu alias Kalu got married to Jyoshna Rani Sahu (35) sister of Narayan Sahu of Bhapurbadi village 10 years before. After few days of marriage, their family dispute started taking dowry matter.
Jyoshna has two children including a son and a daughter. While the family feud come to an end on the wee hours of Saturday night, when Kalu axed his wife to death following an argument. Kalu lost his mental balance and then killed his two years son Pabitra when the son cried after seeing the murder of her mother in front of him. On the very next morning, Kalu surrendered himself before the police at Balisahi outpost on Sunday.
Deceased Jyoshna’s brother Narayan said Kalu was asking dowry money from her and it was the main cause behind the family feud, which ended with a heinous act of crime. On the other hand, Kalu said his wife had illicit relation which was unbearable for him and for that reason he took the monstrous step.
