BHUBANESWAR: Following the upsurge of support to the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Delhi, the party has decided to launch a special national-level drive to enroll at least one crore people in the party between January 10 and 26.

So, the Odisha unit of the AAP has scaled up its initial target of one lakh members to three lakh by January 26, said AAP State coordinator Nishikant Mohapatra, addressing the media here on Friday.

The State unit began its membership drive ‘Mein Bhi Hun Aam Aadmi Abhiyan’ to add eligible members from nook and corner of the State. “Now, any member of AAP can initiate membership drive in his locality without looking for permission or membership forms from any source,” said Mohapatra, adding, “Anybody can download the form from the party’s website and start membership drive in his locality.”

Mohapatra said that more than 40,000 people have already enrolled with the party across the State. “With no further delay, we request each and every kind soul to join this revolution and change this country for a better tomorrow,” he said, adding, “Even people from different political parties, movements, professional groups and other sectors are encouraged to join the AAP.”
