--BJP workers stage demo in front of AIIMS

BHUBANESWAR: BJP workers on Wednesday staged demonstration in front of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS)-Bhubaneswar to inform the public that the premier institution was first conceived by the BJP Government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

The BJP workers wearing saffron hats led by party’s spokesperson Samir Mohanty were shouting slogans in front of the institution’s gate when Union Minster for Health and Family Welfare was inaugurating the ceremony inside the medical campus.

Mohanty said the then Prime Minister and BJP chief Bajpayee had laid foundation stone of the institution 11 years ago, but the UPA-I and UPA-II Government led by the Congress party failed to complete the construction of the institution till the inauguration ceremony. “We thank Bajpayeeji for his Government’s precious gift to the State,” said Mohanty.
