BJP’s Arun Singh arrives, stand on RS polls today

--party MLA Manoj Pradhan skips meeting of fellow MLAs

BHUBANESWAR: Senior BJP leader and party’s Odisha unit in-charge Arun Singh arrived at the party office on Thursday evening.

According to State BJP president KV Singh Deo, Singh will convey the decision of the BJP parliamentary board with regard to the party’s stand in Friday’s Rajya Sabha polls.

Singh Deo also said his party would announce its stand on Thursday night or Friday morning after Singh shares the parliamentary board’s decision with party MLAs and seeks their views on it.

In another incident, BJP MLA Manoj Pradhan met party senior leaders and discussed about party’s preparation ahead of Modi’s visit. After having lunch with party workers, Pradhan left the party office without attending BJP MLAs’ meeting. Though the party workers tried very hard to trace him out, the party leaders didn’t get any information about the MLA.

Following the incident, a BJP delegation led by party’s senior leader Samir Mohanty met Special Observer of the RS polls and requested him to ensure that Pradhan to cast vote in the election on Friday morning.
