--25,820 Engg seats lie vacant in
State
BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha Joint
Entrance Examination (OJEE) is planning to go for a second phase counseling as
25,820 engineering seats still lied vacant in the colleges across the State.
On Friday, the OJEE published
provisional list of engineering counseling. Out of the total 45, 677 seats at
various engineering colleges in the State, only 19,647 students have taken
admission this year.
“As we have many vacant seats in
various colleges, we are planning to go for a second phase counseling to fill
the vacant seats,” said OJEE secretary Priyabrata Sahu.
In view of the counseling for
admission into B Tech and B Pharm courses for JEE (Main)-2013 and NEET-UG, 2013
rank holder candidates in private engineering and pharmacy colleges, the
provisional allotments, withdrawal and final allotment for engineering (B Tech)
and Pharmacy (B Pharm) streams for all OJEE -2013, JEE main/NEET-UG are rescheduled, OJEE sources said.
