Trafficking’ here on Wednesday.
The participants said that children
vulnerability is manifold in the State due to different socio-economic and
geographical situation. Children of around 40 lakh families, who belong to
below poverty line, are in the categories of most vulnerable children. The
State has no concrete data about the vulnerable children who need care and
protection for their wellbeing, they added.

and co- convener Sadasiv Swain said that there are various areas of child sex
abuse reported in the State. It occurs in home, community, schools, residential
schools, care institutions, work place, tourism industry, during transportation
and commercial sectors, they added.
CACL convener Sudhir Sabat said
that child trafficking is gradually increasing in the State. The cases were
reported while transporting children for so called work. “Due to lack of tracking
system in the State, we couldn’t check the trafficking,” said Sabat.
Similarly, AICCTU
State secretary Mahendra Parida focused
on establishment of anti-trafficking cell to stop the child trafficking.
During this consultation, the

Mohapatra, Usarani Behera, Bijaya Laxmi Routray and human rights activist
