BRAHMAPUR: Chief Minister Naveen
Patnaik laid foundation stones of several developmental projects and
inaugurated few projects in Bhanjanagar, Belaguntha and Polasara blocks in
Ganjam district on Friday.
Patnaik inaugurated office buildings
of Polasara Science
College and local Tehasil, whereas he
laid foundation stones of Gudeisuntha
Bridge and ICDS building in Polsara.
Addressing a public meeting at Polasara, the Chief Minister stated that supply
of adequate water, electricity and construction of roads would be the major
focus of the State Government. “Tehasil services will be made more nearer to
the people,” Patnaik said, adding, “The economic situation of the State is improving
and poverty has been reduced up to a large extent.”
In Belaguntha block, Patnaik
inaugurated a public library, Biju Patnaik Children’s Park and Nuagaon-
Badanadi Bridge
and visited his parental village Nuagaon. In Bhanjanagar, he inaugurated an aquarium
made by the irrigation department and a children’s park in a public place in
the area.
