Govt to increase CET engg college seat to 740



BHUBANESWAR: The State Government has decided to increase seat numbers of various B Tech courses in College of Engineering and Technology (CET) at Ghatikia on the outskirts of the city from 390 to 740. It would effect from 2013-14, said Employment and Technical Education and Training Minister Pratap Keshari Deb on Wednesday.

The seat number of B Tech civil would increase from 30 to 120, while the seat number of Instrumentation and Engineering would also increase from 30 to 120. Mechanical trade’s present seat number 45 would increase to 120 and the seat number of Electrical trade would also be increased to 120.

Similarly, the M Tech seat number would be increased from 117 to 178, informed the Minister.
