BHUBANESWAR: Hike in railway
passenger fare by the UPA led Central Government before the Railway Budget is
not acceptable at all and the decision would cost the Congress dear, said Biju

reacting upon the recent rail fare hike.
In a pres statement, Das Burma
said the present Government in Centre has betrayed the common people by
increasing railway fare hike, diesel and petrol price, allowing cap on cooking
gas. The Central Government failed to control price rise, inflation, scams and
corruption, he added.
“The fare hike will be an extra
burden for the passengers belongs to labour class, students and low salaried
employees,” said Das Burma,
adding, “Imposing pressure on the common people by frequently hiking the prices
of essential commodities and fares will coast the Government dear.”
