BHUBANESWAR: The officials of the Health and Family Welfare Department on Thursday sealed an ultrasound clinic after conducting a raid on the clinic at Unit-2 market building here over alleged sex determination test. The license period of the clinic was finished from March this year, but the clinic was illegally run by its owner, sources said.
The team seized the ultrasound
machine during the raid and sealed the ultrasound unit of the clinic. The
officials lodged a case against the owner of the clinic and said they would
take appropriate action against the owner.
“We sealed the reports which were
there in the computer of the clinic and found many lapses in the reports during
his license period also,” said Health and Family Welfare Department Deputy
Director RK Mishra.
