BHUBANESWAR:
Admissions into three streams Arts, Science and Commerce of plus II course under
the Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) started in the State from
Tuesday. Colleges like BJB in the capital city and Ravenshaw at Cuttack
are in top choice of the students.
The students are registering
their names and verifying their documents to take admission in their allotted
colleges. For the admission in different colleges in the State, intimations to the
students were sent earlier through online. In the first phase, as many as 2.55
lakh students would take admission in 1334 colleges in the State.
The admission process will
continue till August 13 and the SC /ST students can take admission on August 18,
said the CHSE officials. Following the admission, students will be able to know
about the unfilled seats in various colleges from the website on August 21, the
official added. Students want to take admission in their first choice colleges
on August 25 through spot admission subject to vacant seats.
According to the Higher Education
Department, Plus II classes will be commenced from August 28.
