BHUBANESWAR: The Odisha chapter of Advocate Council held its two-day national executive body meeting here which was started from Sunday. Members of 22 States had participated in the national meet, said Bhubaneswar zone secretary of the council Advocate Srimanta Kumar Samantaray.
The members discussed about the
council’s future plan, its constructive works, role and function of the council
during the current situation of the country. The executive body of the council
declared that the next national convention would be held in the capital city of
Odisha from December 26 to 28 for
three days where 1,500 advocates would participate.
National president of the council
Justice Parbat Rao presided over the executive body meeting. Among others, national
executive body member Kamel Singh, national secretary and Supreme Court
advocate Dr Bharat Kumar, Odisha zone secretary Prabhakar Sahu, Vice-president
Rabi Shankar Patnaik and many advocates across the State were present.
