BHUBANESWAR: “The State Government has prepared a plan to create employment opportunity for 10 lakh youths of the State through different vocational training,” said Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik while addressing the students in a programme jointly organised by the Odisha State Employment Mission Society and Centurion University here on Saturday.
Patnaik said the State should
prepare its youth mass keeping in view of the country’s demand for trained
professionals as it needs around 28 lakh trained youths by 2015. Employment is
the prime concern of the State Government and the youths should take benefit
out of various training camps organised by the employment mission, he added.
Patnaik distributed certificates
and offer letters to 533 youths passed out from Gramtarang
Training Center
run by Centurion University.
Among others, Employment and Technical Education Minister Pratap Keshari Deb, Centurion
University chairman Muktikant
Mishra and Employment and Technical Education and Training secretary CS Kumar
were present.
