BHUBANESWAR: Chief Minister Naveen
Patnaik on Wednesday talked with Union Minister of Culture Chandresh Kumari Katoch
over telephone regarding the approval of classical status to Odia language. He
requested her to present the issue at the Central Cabinet.
Patnaik on Tuesday expressed
happiness over the expert committee’s recommendation to the Union Culture
Ministry to accord classical status to Odia language and said that it was the
longstanding demand of Odia people.
