BHUBANESWAR: The Commissionerate Police today arrested three
looters in connection with lifting bikes and cars from different areas of the city.
The accused were forwarded to the court today, police said.
They were identified as Santanu Balabantaray (23) alias Anuja
and Reka Pattnayak (25) both from Khandagiri area and Anandi Nayak (21) from
Sailashree Vihar area in the city.
The accused were nabbed from Rental colony and Unit-8 area in
the city. Two Tata Indigo CS cars and nine motor cycles were seized from the possession
of the trio, informed Nayapalli IIC Anup Kumar Kanungo.
Three cases had been registered against these accused under
Nayapalli Police station, said Kanungo. These motor vehicles were stolen by the
looters from different areas of the city, he added.
