BHUBANESWAR: A city girl fell in
love with a boy through the medium of social networking site Facebook and went
out with the boy in an outing, but the FB love turned fatal for the girl as she
was sexually assaulted by her beau along with his two other friends at a lonely
place on the outskirts of the city on Thursday night.
The girl, who is staying with her
family at OMC colony of Uni-8 in the city, lodged complaint with Mahila police
station on Friday after get rescued by the Chandaka police.
One of the accused Jitendra Biswal
was arrested by the Mahila Police, while Biswal’s friend and the driver of the
vehicle within which the girl was assaulted sexually are absconding, the police
said.
According to reports, Biswal called
the girl over phone to meet him at the Patia Big Bazaar mall for shopping and
lunch. After the lunch, he along with the girl went in a long drive, but the
girl didn’t know that other two including driver would join with them and start
misbehaving her in the vehicle.
They took the girl to a lonely
place near Bhatkudi village under Chandaka police station through Infosys road.
They started assaulting the girl sexually in the red-coloured Skoda car
forcefully till the PCR van reached there for rescue of the girl at 10.30pm.
