BHUBANESWAR: US Chargé d’Affaires A Peter Burleigh visited a project supported by United States Agency for International Development (USAID) on Health of the Urban Poor Program (HUP) in the Hare Krushna Nagar here on Friday.
“I am pleased to be able to observe this impressive program. Its success is a testament to your hard work and commitment, which is making a positive difference in people’s lives,” said Ambassador Burleigh while visiting the health projects.
He lauded the USAID’s HUP programme which is working to improve health, water, and sanitation services for poor urban communities in India by organizing women’s health groups and strengthening the ability of public health workers and community volunteers to serve their communities.
