BHUBANESWAR: Only 35,334 youths were employed out of 1, 34, 85,236 registered under different employment exchange offices in the State within 12 year, informed the members of the Yuva Utkal Bharat at its first executive body meeting of the party here on Monday.
The members said unemployment is the
major problem in the State. Due to lack of job in the State, most of the
youths, especially from western Odisha, migrate to other State in search of job.
As a result, the Maoists are taking its benefits by offering the unemployed
youth to join with them. The youths are gradually involving themselves in
different violence inside the State.
The youth wing of the Utkal
Bharat said the Maoist problem is now a headache for the Government. If the
Government does not create employment for the unemployed youth, it could not
stop Maoist problem, the party members added.
Not only in education but also in
industrialisation, the State Government is lagging behind in comparison to the
other States and Odisha Government’s begging before the Central Government for
special status is not the solution, said the party leaders adding, the youths
of the State should support the Yuva Utkal Bharat to raise voice against
different problems of the youth in future.
