BHUBANESWAR: The Ayurvedic and Homeopathic Inspectors who are working in the district-levels in the State to be counted as District Medical Officers (DMOs), Health and Family Welfare Department of the State sources said after taking decision to change the designation of the Inspectors considering their long-standing demands. Now nine Homeopathic and eleven Ayurvedic Inspectors are working in the State.
Besides the change of the
designation, the department has taken decision in principle to appoint one
Ayurvedic and Homeopathic medical officers in each district, said Health and
Family Welfare Minister Prasanna Acharya. The Government is taking all the
steps to make the treatment method popular and to add it in the mainstream of
the medical service, said the Minister adding, the placement of the Aurvedic
and Homeopathic medical officers in each district would help in supervising and
executing the two methods of treatment.
