Now students can apply offline for +2 admissions


BHUBANESWAR: After the High Court’s order, the Higher Education Department on Saturday directed all colleges in the State to conduct both online and offline admission process for +2 courses. The last date of applying for admission into +2 colleges is July 13.
Before, the students were applying through online as there was no provision for applying through offline mode like +3 admission process. One PIL had been filed at the High Court regarding applying for admission into +2 courses through offline mode.

But the High Court solved the issue. Now the students can apply through online and offline. The students can apply for six colleges at a time under the Council of Higher Secondary Education this year. The students have to download the application forms from the website as the forms were not printed. After filling up the forms, the students have to submit the forms at the Student Academic Management System (SAMS) resource centre. Around 2, 3,000 students, till Thursday afternoon, have applied for 3, 12,152 seat in 1280 colleges in the State.  

To inform the students about admission and online process, 410 Student Academic Management System (SAMS) resource centre across the State. The students have to take admission after publication of first list of joining in the colleges; otherwise they will be eliminated from the entire admission process. First merit list will be published on July 26 and admission will be held within July 31 to August 6, official sources said.
