BHUBANESWAR: Sanchita Dhali, who claims as the daughter of BJD MLA Arabinda Dhali, again knocked the door of the State Commission for Women (SCW) here on Tuesday to help her out in the much discussed paternity row. As the case is sub judice, the Commission will not take any steps instead of providing legal help, said SCW Chairperson Jyoti Panigrahy.
“The Commission did not help me
for which I’m suffering. The Commission has conducted this type of cases before,
but why they are not coming forward in my case,” Sanchita questioned. While the
SCW Chairperson said the case is now in the High Court, so they would not take
the case again. She would write to the Legal Services Authority to provide a
Government Advocate to help Sanchita in her case, Panigrahy added.
On the other hand, Arabinda Dhali
said the law would take its own course. Sanchita is disobeying the court by
telling false things before the media as the case is sub judice, he added. “Who
is she to say that I’m her father? Is she the High Court or the Supreme Court?
What the High Court would give final order about the case, I will obey that,”
Arbinda Dhali said.
It may be noted that the case was
started with a complaint by Sanchita Dhali to the SCW in 2009, claiming that
she is the daughter of erstwhile Minister and currently a BJD MLA Arabanda
Dhali who rubbished the claim and refused to accept her as his daughter.
